The front lower control arm ball joints may have been incorrectly installed or incorrectly repaired at the vehicle assembly plant, allowing the control arm to disconnect from the front wheel knuckle.

Zero Motorcycles, Inc. (Zero Motorcycles) is recalling certain model year 2012 S and DS motorcycles. These motorcycles are equipped with a motor encoder position signal that may drift over the extended use of the motorcycle. If the signal drifts outside of the given parameters, the motor controller may shut off, resulting in the motorcycle inadvertently losing power.

A loss of power could lead to a crash and potential injury or death of the rider.
Remedy

Remedy
Owners are advised to park and charge their vehicle outside and away from structures and limit their charge to a maximum of 80% until the recall repair is complete. THIS COULD LEAD TO BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE AND LOSS OF REAR BRAKES. (2) THE FUEL HOSE CONNECTING THE GAS TANK FUEL COCK TO THE CARBURETORS COULD CONTACT THE FRONT OF THE #2 CARBURETOR CAUSING POSSIBLE ABRASION AND ULTIMATE FUEL LEAKAGE.
On certain trucks, the oversteer guidance feature may not work properly. As a result, in an oversteer situation, the oversteer guidance could cause the steering wheel to turn from side to side by itself. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control.

SALT, WATER OR SNOW CARRIED INTO THE VEHICLE BY THE DRIVER'S SHOES MAY PENETRATE THE CARPET AND REPEATEDLY DRIP ONTO THE CONNECTOR. THIS COULD RESULT IN THE FORMATION OF AN ICE BRIDGE BETWEEN THE TERMINALS, POSSIBLY CAUSING AN ELECTRICAL SHORT INSIDE THE CONNECTOR. IF THIS WERE TO OCCUR, THE CONNECTOR COULD HEAT UP, CREATING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE FIRE.
On certain vehicles, the rear parking assist sensors (mounted in the rear bumper) could short circuit.
Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall 2022-118. Vehicles that were already repaired under Hyundai recall R0212 don't require this repair.

Remedy
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to replace the rear parking assist sensor fuse and any defective sensors. Hyundai recommends that if the instrument cluster does not work, the transmission shifter is stuck in park, or if you see melted plastic on the rear bumper, you should park the vehicle outside and contact a Hyundai dealer.
