On certain motorcycles, the shift arm may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the fasteners that secure the shift arm could loosen and detach. If this happens, the shift arm could fall off and you would not be able to change gears.
Safety Risk
Not being able to change gears could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a shift arm that detaches from the motorcycle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the shift arm.

On certain vehicles, there could be a reduction in power brake assist due to a decrease in output from the vacuum pump. This could cause a hard brake pedal and create an increase in brake pedal effort that is required to stop the vehicle.
Note: This is an expansion of Transport Canada Recall 2019-324.
Safety Risk
A sudden increase in brake pedal force could lead to an increase in stopping distance. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to reprogram the electronic brake control module.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE 3.27 OR 3.55 AXLE RATION. THE SUBJECT VEHICLES HAVE A POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE THAT COULD ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO EXCEED THE DESIGN INTENT TOP SPEED. AT THESE EXTREME SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE COULD BE CAPABLE OF EXCEEDING THE SPEED RATING OF THE TIRE.
Safety Risk
OPERATING THE VEHICLE ABOVE THE MAXIMUM SPEED RATING COULD LEAD TO A TIRE FAILURE WHICH AT THESE SPEEDS COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE.
NOTE: VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH SECOND ROW BENCH SEATS AND INTEGRATED CHILD SEAT (ICS). ALL VEHICLES IN THIS RECALL HAVE BEEN CORRECTED.
THE HEADREST LOCKOUT MECHANISM MAY NOT ENGAGE AND LOCK THE HEADRESTS IN THE "DOWN" POSITION, AS INTENDED WHEN THE ICS IS DEPLOYED. CONSEQUENTLY, A VEHICLE OCCUPANT COULD MOVE THE HEADREST TO THE "UP" POSITION, AND AS A RESULT A CHILD IN THE ICS WOULD RECEIVE LESS THAN THE INTENDED PROTECTION IN THE CHILD HEAD AREA.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
SECOND ROW BENCH SEATS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH SEATS BUILT WITH REVISED HEADREST LOCKOUT MECHANISMS.

Safety Risk
IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE CRASH, THE AIR BAG MAY NOT DEPLOY, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY TO THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER.
Remedy
THE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR WILL BE REPROGRAMMED.
