Certain vehicles equipped with automatic seat belt buckle pre-tensioners. The CR-V is equipped with two seat belt pre-tensioners in both front passenger seating positions. Some buckle pre-tensioners use a part that restricts the full motion of the mechanism. If these pre-tensioned activate in a crash, the seat belt could unlatch, leaving the front seat occupants unrestrained.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
dealers will repair both front seat belt buckle pre-tensioners.

Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts. The wiring to the switch within the driver seat belt buckle which monitors whether the seat belt is buckled or unbuckled could become damaged by the seat's height adjuster mechanism. This could result in no audible signal (chime) or indicator light if the buckle is not fastened, or the chime and indicator light staying on when the seat belt is buckled. A lack of audible signal (chime) or indicator light may increase the likelihood of the vehicle being operated with an unfastened seat belt, which would increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, reroute the harness to its proper location. Any harnesses with damage to the circuitry will be replaced.

Safety Risk
A child seat that isn't properly secured could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy
Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the wiring harness for the centre-rear seat belt buckle. The wiring will be re-routed and secured, as necessary.

On certain motorcycles, the passenger backrest could crack and break if it is used incorrectly or was not installed correctly. If this happens, a passenger could suddenly lose back support.
Safety Risk
A sudden loss of back support could increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy
Ducati will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect the installation of the passenger backrest. The dealer will adjust it, as necessary, and install a warning sticker to inform how to properly use the backrest.
On certain vehicles, the second-row outboard seat belt anchor bracket(s) may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, the bracket(s) could fail in a crash.

On certain vehicles, the rear seat safety belt latch attachment bolt may be insufficiently riveted, which could result in a reduced capability of the belt latch to withstand the applied loads. During a crash, the occupant may not be restrained as intended, which could result in injuries.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealer will inspect and, if necessary, replace the seat belt buckle.
1,684 vehicles affectedMfr ref: VNUpdated June 10, 2026
On certain vehicles, sustained loads of sufficient magnitude and duration on the seat belt in severe crashes could fully deploy the buckle energy-absorbing loop, introducing a total of 10 additional inches of webbing into the seat belt system. The free falling latch plate used in this system may allow webbing to dynamically distribute between the lap and shoulder belt as the driver's position changes during a multiple rollover event. If the energy-absorbing loop fully deploys in a severe multiple rollover event, it is possible that a belted driver may experience partial or even complete ejection from the vehicle.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealer will replace the driver's safety belt buckle assembly.

On certain vehicles, the wiring for the front seats could be damaged when a person uses the tilt function. As a result, certain system in the vehicle may not work properly. Depending on which wires are damaged, the occupant classification system may not work properly. This can cause the passenger airbag to not work properly in a crash. The damage could also cause the driver or passenger front airbag to deploy suddenly without a crash.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with 16-way power front seats.
Safety Risk
An airbag that does not deploy properly in a crash could increase the risk of injuries. A sudden airbag deployment when there is no crash could also create a risk of injury.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install protective tape on the exposed edge of the cushion frames. The dealer will also inspect the wire harness and repair or replace it, as needed.

On certain vehicles equipped with heated seats, excessive contact with the seat backrest side bolster upon entering and exiting the vehicle may damage the heating mat located in this area. If this happened, the seated occupant may experience excessive heat in this location. The heating mat could damage, or melt a small hole in the lower portion of the backrest's outboard side bolster. If this were to occur, an electrical/melting smell or small amount of smoke would be noticeable. In some cases, the small hole in the backrest's side bolster could damage the seated occupant's clothing. In rare instances, this could lead to a minor or superficial skin injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will modify the seat heating circuit for the front seat backrests.
Certain vehicles fail to conform to CMVSS 209, seat belt assemblies. These vehicles have a condition where one or two sensors in the driver's and front seat passengers seat belt retractors may be inoperative. The seat belt retractors will lock when the belt webbing is extracted during a crash; however the mechanism that locks the seat belt retractor when the vehicle decelerates quickly, such as during heavy braking, may not restrain the occupant as intended during a crash, and could result in injury to the occupant.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the seat belt assemblies to determine proper vehicle sensor function, and replace them if necessary.
