The 2016 Ducati XDiavel has 8 recalls, the most serious involving a loose final drive pulley nut that can cause the rear wheel to lose power while riding, raising the risk of a crash.
The rear brake system has a separate concern: air can seep into the hydraulic lines over time, reducing braking effectiveness and extending stopping distances. On the structural side, the side stand has two related issues: a loose lower fastening screw can cause the stand to fail and the bike to fall, and the stand bracket itself can fatigue under load and break, dropping the motorcycle while parked and potentially injuring anyone nearby. There is also a passenger backrest concern: if the backrest was not installed correctly or is used incorrectly, it can crack and break, causing a passenger to suddenly lose back support while riding.
