The 2016 Ducati XDiavel has 7 recalls, the most serious being a loose final drive pulley nut that can cause the rear wheel to lose power while riding, raising the risk of a crash. The rear brake system has a separate concern: air can seep into the hydraulic circuit over time, reducing braking force and extending stopping distances. On the passenger side, the backrest can crack or break if installed incorrectly, leaving a passenger without back support without warning. There are also multiple side stand issues: the lower fastening screw can work loose, causing the stand to collapse and the bike to fall or the engine to stall, and on some trims the stand bracket can fatigue under load and fail while the motorcycle is parked, tipping it onto anyone nearby.
