The 2017 Ducati XDiavel has 4 recalls, the most serious being a loose final drive pulley nut that can cause the rear wheel to lose power while riding, raising the risk of a crash.
Two separate recalls address the side stand. In one, a fastening screw on the side stand plate may not be tightened enough, allowing the stand to collapse unexpectedly. If this happens while the bike is parked, the motorcycle falls; if it gives way while the engine is running, it can also stall the bike. The second side stand recall covers a different failure mode: the stand bracket itself can fatigue under repeated load and fracture, again leaving the bike to fall on anyone nearby. There is also a brake concern: air can work its way into the rear brake system over time, reducing braking force and lengthening the distance needed to stop.
