The 2017 Ducati XDiavel has 4 recalls, the most serious being a loose final drive pulley nut that can cause the rear wheel to lose power while riding, raising the risk of a crash.
Two recalls involve the side stand. A fastening screw on the stand plate may not be sufficiently tightened, which can cause the bike to fall over or the engine to stall unexpectedly. Separately, the side stand bracket itself can fatigue under load and fail, also allowing the motorcycle to fall while parked and potentially injuring anyone nearby. There is also a brake concern: air can work its way into the rear brake system, reducing stopping power and extending the distance needed to bring the bike to a halt.
