On certain motorcycles, the starter relay switch may have had sealant incorrectly applied during assembly. This could result in increased resistance across the main fuse, potentially interrupting battery voltage to the electrical system. An interruption of battery voltage to the electrical system could cause the engine to either not start or stall while driving. Increased resistance at the main fuse could also cause a fire, potentially resulting in injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the starter relay switch, and replace if necessary.

On certain vehicles, the front lower control arms could corrode due to exposure to humid environments and road de-icing chemicals. Over time, corrosion could progress causing thinning and perforation of the steel, which could allow the control arm to fracture near the forward pivot attachment to the chassis. Lower control arm failure could result in a loss of vehicle control and a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Saab dealers will inspect the front lower control arms and, depending on the degree of corrosion exhibited, will either rustproof or replace them. Owners may contact 1-800-955-9007 to locate the nearest Saab approved repair facility.

THIS COULD RESULT IN INJURY TO THE DRIVER AS WELL AS CAUSE THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.
Safety Risk

IF THE MID-FRAME CROSS MEMBER TEARS DURING FRONTAL IMPACT AND PRODUCES A SHARP EDGE, CONTACT OF THE SHARP EDGE WITH THE FUEL TANK COULD RESULT IN A PUNCTURE OF THE FUEL TANK AND POSSIBLE FUEL LEAKAGE.
Safety Risk
FUEL LEAKAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy

Certain parts of the integrated motor assist (IMA) system are located under a metal cover behind the rear seat-back. Over time the weight of rear seat occupants may cause the metal cover to come into contact with a rubber cap covering an electrical terminal. The rubber cap may get pinched, exposing the electrical terminal. The exposed terminal may come into contact with the metal cover, which could result in an electrical short that may blow the IMA fuse. A blown fuse will cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install a plastic cover over the rubber cap covering the electrical cable.
