Tesla Motors, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2019 Tesla Model 3 vehicles. The driver-side sun visor may not have the required air bag warning information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Safety Risk
Failure to provide the air bag warning information increases the risk of injury.
Remedy
Tesla will notify owners, and Tesla Service Centers will inspect the visor and replace it, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began December 6, 2019. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. Tesla's number for this recall is SB-19-15-003.

On certain vehicles, the wrong instrument panel cluster may have been installed during production. As a result, the brake system malfunction and parking brake indicators would display as text instead of symbols. Canadian regulations require certain symbols to be used.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 3.5-inch instrument panel cluster.

Incorrect indicators could create confusion and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the instrument panel cluster.

Certain vehicles were manufactured with rear window privacy glass that fail to conform to the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 205 - Glazing Materials.
Certain vehicles equipped with 4.8 litre or 5.3 litre engines do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 1103 - Exhaust Emissions. Engines may have been built with the wrong Linear Exhaust Gas Recirculation (LEGR) valve which could limit the required air flow rate. A failed valve could cause the vehicle to fail to meet applicable emissions standards.
