On certain vehicles operated in areas of heavy road salt usage during winter months, the fuel tank straps could corrode and fail. This could allow the fuel tank to contact the ground, which may compromise the tank's integrity and permit fuel leakage. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the fuel tank straps with zinc coated versions.

On certain vehicles, the driver frontal airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect/replace the driver's frontal airbag inflator.
Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2015-2021 Monster 821, 2014-2021 Monster 1200 S/STD, and 2016-2019 Monster 1200 R motorcycles. The rear brake hoses may be susceptible to heat damage.
Safety Risk
Damaged brake hoses may cause the rear brakes to fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the rear brake hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 12, 2021. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446.

On certain vehicles, the wiring under the front passenger seat may not have been routed correctly. As a result, the wiring could become damaged when the seat is moved. If this happens, the airbags and seat belt pretensioners may not work and/or the airbag system may not turn off the passenger-front airbag when an infant or child seat is in the front passenger seat. This problem could also cause the passenger side seat airbag to inflate unexpectedly.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a manual front passenger seat. This recall also affects Niro hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.
Safety Risk
Airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners that don't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Additionally, an airbag that deploys without a crash could create a risk of injury.
Remedy
Kia will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wiring under the front passenger seat. The dealer will also reroute and install covers to protect the wiring.

On certain vehicles operated in areas of heavy road salt usage, excessive corrosion of the rear cross member may cause separation of the spare tire stowed under the truck bed. Corrosion of the rear cross member may also affect the functionality of the rear brake line at the proportioning valve. A spare tire that separates during vehicle usage could impact nearby persons or objects resulting in personal injury and/or vehicle and property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the rear cross member and surrounding components and, depending on the amount of corrosion detected, either apply a corrosion-resistant compound or replace the cross member assembly.

On certain motorcycles, the right-side engine crankcase cover could leak oil onto the exhaust pipe and/or the rear tire.
Safety Risk
An oil leak onto the rear tire could affect handling and control of the motorcycle. This could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, oil that leaks onto an exhaust pipe can create a fire risk.
Remedy
Honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a Honda motorcycle dealership to replace the right-side engine crankcase cover.

VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN VUILT WITH IMPROPERLY MATCHED COMPONENTS WHICH SECURE THE FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER ARMS TO THE BODY STRUCTURE. SUCH ASSEMBLY COULD LEAD TO COMPLETE SEPARATION OF THE SUSPENSION UPPER ARMS AND LOSS OF STEERING.
On certain vehicles, the retaining clip that secures the gear shift cable to the shift lever can contact the lever housing if excessive lateral force is applied when shifting to first gear. Repeated shifting in this manner can eventually cause the retaining clip to break. Should this happen, the shift cable can become disconnected from the lever, resulting in loss of the ability to change transmission gears. This can result in a crash without prior warning.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the gear shift cable retaining clip with a clip that has a different shape.

THE VEHICLES FAILED THE LATERAL MOVING BARRIER IMPACT TEST REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS 301, "FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY." THE FUEL LEAKAGE FROM THE GAS TANK EXCEEDED THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE AMOUNT OF SPILLAGE.
Safety Risk
IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, THE FUEL SPILLAGE CAN RESULTIN A FIRE IF EXPOSED TO A SOURCE OF IGNITION.
Remedy
HYUNDAI HAS DEVELOPED AN APPROPRIATE COUNTERMEASURE THAT WILL COMPLY WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS 301.
On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger-front airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function.
Safety Risk
If the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury.
Remedy
Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the passenger-front airbag module replaced. Note: The Canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. It is expected that all airbag inflators will be replaced before their function would be affected. Additional note: This recall supersedes recall 2018-648.
THE REVERSE SERVO APPLY PIN MAY BIND IN THE CASE WHICH COULD CAUSE REVERSE BAND DISTRESS (LOSS OR SLIPPING OF REVERSE), REVERSE BAND DRAG IN DRIVE RANGE (POOR PERFORMANCE -- POOR POWER), OR THE TRANSMISSION TO REMAIN IN REVERSE WHILE THE SHIFT INDICATOR SHOWS NEUTRAL GEAR POSITION.
Safety Risk
IF THE TRANSMISSION REMAINS IN REVERSE WHILE THE SHIFTINDICATOR SHOWS NEUTRAL, THE VEHICLE MAY UNEXPECTEDLY MOVE REARWARD AND RESULTIN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
On certain motorcycles, the rear shock absorber lower eyelet could break and detach from the rear swing arm. This would cause the rear suspension to collapse, and would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the rear shock absorber with a revised part.
