On certain motorcycles, hydraulic fluid could leak past the clutch secondary actuator piston/seal. Over time, the loss of fluid could create an inability disengage the clutch. This may lead to a loss of control when started in gear, first shifted into gear, or while coming to stop, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install a new clutch secondary actuator piston assembly.

On certain trucks, the alternator wiring harness may have been damaged during assembly. This could cause a short circuit to occur. It may result in abnormal electrical activity (i.e. interior lights flickering, intermittent radio) and could prevent the battery from charging. Over time, the battery could discharge. Ultimately, this may result in an engine stall. In rare cases, the short circuit may result in an engine compartment fire.
Safety Risk
A loss of engine power and/or a loss of power to electrical systems could increase the risk of a crash. An electrical short circuit could create a fire risk.
Remedy
Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to inspect the alternator wiring harness. The harness will be repositioned or replaced if necessary.

On certain motorcycles, incorrect programming may cause the engine to stall. This could happen when downshifting (if the clutch lever is not fully pulled in) or when the throttle is opened from idle. Also, the engine warning light may not turn on when a part fails. This problem could also cause the engine warning system to turn on and give limited throttle response.
Note: This recall replaces recall M22-014 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2022-099). Vehicles that received a software update under that recall also require this repair.
Safety Risk
A sudden engine stall could increase the risk of a crash. A sudden lack of acceleration could surprise the rider, and in certain situations, could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Yamaha will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to update the engine control unit (ECU) software.

On certain vehicles, the engine oil cooler stud (onto which the oil filter is mounted) could fail. This could cause an engine oil leak, which could illuminate the instrument panel's engine oil warning lamp. Abnormal noise and rough engine performance may also be noticed and, in the worst case, the engine could fail and stop suddenly while the vehicle is in motion. Engine failure would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the engine oil cooler connector stud.

On certain vehicles equipped with air brakes and rear air suspension, the rear service brake and parking brake air lines could contact the rear axle housing during vehicle operation, causing the lines to wear. Over time, this could result in an air leak in the service or parking brake lines. An air leak in the parking brake lines could result in inadvertent parking brake application. An air leak in the rear service brake line could affect rear service brake performance, potentially resulting in a loss of rear service brake function. These conditions could increase the risk of crash causing injury and/or damage to property:
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect air lines for damage and repair as necessary, as well as install revised rear brake chambers.
