On certain vehicles operated in areas of heavy road salt usage during winter months, a mixture of snow/water and salt may enter an assembly location hole in the upper strut housing, causing water to collect at the mating surface of the strut housing panel and the inner hood ledge assembly. Over time, this snow/water and salt intrusion may result in corrosion of the strut tower housing structure. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, the strut housing may crack and pull away from the inner hood ledge assembly. Should the strut housing separate and contact the steering column upper shaft, the steering shaft could break. A loss of steering control could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the strut housing and, if no corrosion or only minor surface corrosion is present, an anti-corrosion seal will be applied. If moderate corrosion is present, resin patches will be applied in addition to the sealant. If there is evidence of more significant corrosion, a metal reinforcement plate will be used to reinforce the strut housing assembly. In instances where it is impossible to repair the vehicle, Nissan will provide an appropriate remedy.
Certain vehicles may have been equipped with an underbody panel which might not provide sufficient clearance to the left catalyst. As a result, heat from the catalyst could melt and potentially ignite the plastic underbody panel, resulting in a fire causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, replace the underbody paneling.

On certain Boxster GTS 4.0 and Cayman GTS 4.0 models, the rear vehicle electronics control unit may not have been programmed correctly during production. As a result, the rear spoiler may be too high and block the high-mounted stop lamp. This problem could also lead to poor handling.
Safety Risk
A high-mounted stop lamp that is blocked may cause others not to recognize when the vehicle is braking. Additionally, poor handling could cause a loss of control. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Porsche will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to reprogram the rear vehicle electronics control unit.

Certain vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts and CMVSS 115 - Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Excess bulkhead insulation material may have been used during manufacturing, and as a result, could extend into the lower area of the windshield. This excess insulation could cover the VIN label, and potentially affect bonding of the windshield. If the windshield bonding is affected on the passenger side, in the event of a crash (where passenger frontal airbag deployment is warranted), the airbag may not deploy as designed, which would fail to meet the requirements of the standard, and increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the bulkhead insulation for excess material and remove it as necessary. In the event of compromised windshield bonding, the bonding will be reworked.
Certain motorcycles were built with an isolator mount system that could lose clamp load. Should this condition occur, it may allow the engine to move unexpectedly within the frame and cause unintended distraction to the operator, which could result in an accident.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Front isolator system will be replaced on affected vehicles.
