On certain vehicles, the latch for the seat frame on second-row left seat may not have been properly welded. As a result, the latch could fail and the seat could move in a crash.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles with 7 seats.
Safety Risk
A seat that moves in a crash could create an increased risk of injury.
Remedy
Land Rover will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the second-row left seat frame. If necessary, the seat frame and associated parts will be replaced. To reduce the safety risk, Land Rover recommends watching for warning lamps on the instrument cluster. If the seat isn't properly latched, a red warning will display. If this warning stays on, Land Rover advises that you shouldn't transport a person in the left or center second-row seats until the recall repairs have been completed.

On certain vehicles, the right front seatbelt buckle wiring harness may have been incorrectly routed during vehicle assembly. As such, the wires could become damaged when the seat is moved fully up and down or fore and aft. If this occurs, the airbag control module will switch to a fallback algorithm and deactivate the passenger's frontal airbag. Failure of the passenger frontal airbag to deploy during a vehicle crash could increase the risk of personal injuries or death to the seat occupant.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reroute the right front seatbelt wiring harness.
