Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is recalling certain 2019 Impreza, Outback, Legacy, and Ascent vehicles. The low pressure fuel pump may become inoperative.
Safety Risk
If the low pressure fuel pump fails, the engine may stall without the ability to restart the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will replace the low pressure fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began June 4, 2020. Owners may contact Subaru customer service at 1-844-373-6614. Subaru's number for this recall is WRD-20.

Certain vehicles may experience a fuel leak at the fuel rail assembly end plug due to an improperly crimped end retainer clip. If this condition were to occur, and an ignition source was present, an engine compartment fire could occur.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Defective fuel rail assemblies will be replaced.

Certain vehicles contain a defect involving the electric fuel pump. Under certain environmental conditions, for example, driving during high outside temperatures in combination with high altitudes (over 5,000ft.), vapor lock in the fuel pump could occur. This could cause the engine to stall. If this were to happen, the engine could be unable to be restarted for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealer will install a resistor in the electrical line leading to the fuel pump. This will reduce the power output of the fuel pump and preclude an occurrence of vapor lock.
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling one 2017 Land Rover Range Rover vehicle. A bolt used to attach the high pressure fuel pump may be too long. As a result, the fuel pump may not be properly secured and the fuel line may crack and leak.
Safety Risk
A fuel line crack may leak fuel into the engine compartment, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Land Rover will notify the owner, and a dealer will replace both fuel pumps and the associated fuel lines, free of charge. The recall began September 16, 2017. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N074.

On certain vehicles, the fuel feed return line in the engine compartment could wear through as the result of repeated contact with the exhaust manifold as the vehicle is driven. If the pipe is worn through, fuel may escape from the pipe and possibly ignite if it contacts the exhaust system.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will check the clearance between the fuel return pipe and the exhaust manifold and, if necessary, reposition the pipe. A worn pipe will be replaced with a new pipe which will be properly positioned.

On certain Aurora, Bonneville SSEi, Devile and STS vehicles, the fuel tank pressure sensor is unusually susceptible to malfunctions causing excessive vacuum to be applied during self-diagnostic testing. Fuel system components can be damaged and fuel can leak from the vehicle when it is refueled. Possible symptoms of this condition are illumination of the Service Engine Soon light, poor driveability, increase noise from the fuel tank area, and inaccurate fuel gauge readings. If there is an ignition source present, a fire could result.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealer will replace the fuel tank pressure sensor.

ON VEHICLES WITH QUAD 4 ENGINES, THE FRONT FUEL FEED ASSEMBLY COULD CRACK OR SEPARATE AT THE COUPLING ON THE ENGINE END OF THE ASSEMBLY, ALLOWING FUEL TO LEAK INTO THE UNDERHOOD AREA. THIS WOULD CREATE THE POSSIBILITY OF AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
FRONT FUEL FEED HOSE ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES.

On certain vehicles, a crash protection plate was not installed beside the high pressure fuel pump in the engine compartment. In the event of a severe crash, the high pressure fuel pump could become damaged and cause a fuel leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install the missing crash protection plate.
On certain vehicles, the check valve for the purge control system could wear and cause the fuel tank to expand. As a result, the fuel tank could contact hot components and fuel could leak.
Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 1.6 L turbocharged engine.
Safety Risk
A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Kia will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the check valve and update the electronic control unit (ECU) software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the fuel tank.

ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES AND PICKUP TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 5.3L (RPO L59) V8 ENGINES, THE ENGINE FUEL RAIL CROSSOVER TUBE RETAINER SCREWS WERE NOT MANUFACTURED TO SPECIFICATIONS AND MAY BREAK.
Safety Risk
IF THE TUBE RETAINER SCREW BREAKS, FUEL COULD LEAK FROM THE FUEL RAIL CROSSOVER JOINT, THE ENGINE MAY STALL AND, IF AN IGNITION SOURCE WERE PRESENT, AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE COULD OCCUR.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE FUEL RAIL CROSSOVER TUBE AND, IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE RETAINER SCREWS. OWNERS WERE NOTIFIED BY TELEPHONE ON JULY 30, 2004, WITH A FOLLOWUP OWNER LETTER BEGAN AUGUST 5, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT CHEVROLET AT 1-800-630-2438 OR GMC AT 1-866-996-9463.
