Safety Risk
A seat with a dislodged bolt may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the pivot links and bolts as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed May 11, 2026. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2025 RAV 4 vehicles. The front seat brackets for the seat rails may be welded improperly.

Improperly welded seat brackets can prevent the seat from adequately restraining an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
