The 2019 Genesis G90 has two recalls, both involving engine compartment fire risks: one from an oil leak near hot engine components, and one from a starter solenoid that can short-circuit and catch fire even while the car is parked.
On the engine side, the left turbocharger oil feed pipe on vehicles with the 3.3-liter V6 turbocharged engine can deteriorate and leak oil onto hot engine parts, raising the risk of fire. Separately, water can enter the starter solenoid and cause an electrical short that leads to an engine compartment fire whether the vehicle is in use or sitting parked.
