Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Santa Fe vehicles. The B+ positive terminal cover on the starter motor assembly may be improperly installed, which can cause an electrical short during a crash.

On certain trucks, the front axle shaft(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the axle shaft(s) could break and prevent you from fully turning the steering wheel. Additionally, if the truck is parked and the parking brake isn't applied, the truck could roll away.

Remedy
Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the front axle shaft assemblies.
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2025 Tacoma and Tacoma Hybrid vehicles. The front driveshaft constant-velocity (CV) joint may deform and break.
Safety Risk
A broken driveshaft can impair steering. Vehicles with full-time 4WD may experience a vehicle rollaway while parked without the parking brake applied. Both scenarios increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace both front driveshaft assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed November 14, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in late May 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. On certain vehicles, the high-voltage battery could overheat while using level 3 quick charging. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts.
