On certain motorcycles, an O-ring seal in the final-drive assembly may have been installed incorrectly during vehicle assembly. An oil leak in this area could contaminate the rear brake disc. If this were to occur, brake performance could be affected resulting in increased stopping distance.
ON CERTAIN VEHICLES WHERE A WEAK BATTERY EXISTS, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT A LOW VOLTAGE CONDITION COULD CAUSE THE AIR BAG CONTROL UNIT TO IMPROPERLY SET A FAULT CODE. IF THIS OCCURS, THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONTAL AIR BAG WILL BECOME DEACTIVATED. The spare tire has a smaller diameter than the tires on the truck. As a result, the antilock brake system (ABS) may not work properly on certain road surfaces when the spare tire is installed on a rear wheel position. This could lead to an increase in stopping distance or a loss of control.
