BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2020-2021 740Li, 740 Li xDrive, 750Li xDrive, M760Li xDrive, and Alpina B7 vehicles. The top child seat tether anchor on the rear middle seat may not be readily accessible. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, Section 6.1(b) "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."
Safety Risk
A child restraint system placed on the vehicle's rear middle seat without utilizing the three-point safety belt, could increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy
BMW will notify owners, and dealers will install a top tether anchor cover at the rear middle seating position. Until vehicles are remedied, owners will be instructed to utilize the outboard rear seating positions which are equipped with an accessible top tether anchor, or, the middle rear seating position and the vehicle's three-point safety belt. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling two 2018 Golf GTI vehicles. The VIN printed on the Federal Certification label may not match the actual VIN on the vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
Safety Risk
If the stamped vehicle identification number (VIN) does not match the VIN on the Vehicle Certification Label, owners may be unable to tell if their vehicle is under an important safety recall, possibly exposing them to an increased risk of a crash, fire or injury.
Remedy

On certain vehicles, the owner's manual does not include specific information about the adjustment of the head restraints for the third-row seats. Canadian regulations require this information be included in the owner's manual.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer vehicles factory-equipped with optional 17-inch sport terrain tires. The certification label on these vehicles does not provide the tire size and cold tire pressure information for front and rear tires, as required. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

On certain vehicles, the airbag warning label(s) on the passenger side sun visor may be in an incorrect language.

On certain vehicles, the symbol on the rear door that indicates the child safety lock setting is incorrect. This could cause a person to set the child safety lock incorrectly. As a result, a child may be able to open a rear door from the inside of the vehicle. Alternatively, it may not be possible for a person to open the rear doors from the inside even if the doors are unlocked.
Safety Risk
If the child safety lock is not set correctly, a child may be able to open a rear door while with the vehicle is moving. Alternatively, the wrong setting could delay exiting the vehicle in an emergency. Both of these issues could increase the risk of injury.
Remedy
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to cover the incorrectly embossed lock symbol on the rear doors with the correct labeling.
Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling certain 2019 Freightliner Sprinter and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles. The Operator's Manual may not contain the correct information about how the automatic parking function ("Auto-P") operates.

With only the metric speed listed on the spare tire label, the driver could misinterpret the kph as mph and operate the vehicle with the spare tire installed at higher speeds than the tire can withstand, increasing the risk of a crash.

The instrument cluster software may deactivate the illumination of certain interior switches (switch bar, overhead control unit, steering wheel) if the hazard lights are turned on and the ignition switch is in the 'off' position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."

If the interior switches are not illuminated, they may be more difficult to find and operate, increasing the risk of a crash.

On certain vehicles, if the hazard lights are switched on while the ignition is off, the lights on some interior switches may not work. When the ignition and lights are turned on, the lights on the switches may stay off. Canadian regulations require certain switches to light up when the ignition is on and the lights are switched on. Note: If the hazard lights are switched off, then the ignition is cycled to off - and back on again - the switch lights should work properly.
