On certain vehicles equipped with the Comfort Access or Comfort Access in combination with the Soft Close Automatic door latching system options, the doors may not latch correctly. As a result, doors which appear to be latched could unlatch while driving. This could increase the risk of injury to a vehicle occupant seated next to the door, or result in damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will remove the cams from the door locks and reprogram the Comfort Access System as necessary.
THE FORWARD SENSOR FOR THE AIR BAG MAY HAVE BEEN INCORRECTLY CONSTRUCTED WITH PART OF THE WIRING HARNESS TO THE SENSOR REVERSED.

THE REVERSAL OF THE WIRES COULD CAUSE DELAY IN THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAG AND INCREASE THE SEVERITY OF THE OF INJURY TO AN UNBELTED DRIVER IN AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy
REPLACE FORWARD DISCRIMINATING SENSOR AS NECESSARY.
On certain vehicles, the wiring harness connector located in the area of the drivers footrest could corrode due to exposure to melted snow/water containing road salt. This could result in illumination of several warning lamps including the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) warning lamp. If the SRS warning lamp is illuminated and the vehicle is subsequently involved in a collision that warrants frontal air bag deployment, the timing of the frontal airbag deployment(s) may be delayed, which would increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant(s).
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will relocate the wiring connector to a higher position. The connector will also be inspected and, if any corrosion is found, the connector will be replaced with a new one.

On certain vehicles, the shoulder portion of the seatbelt for the middle row right side seat of the seven passenger model and center seat in the eight passenger model, may bind in the bezel trim piece. In the event of a crash, this could result in an increased chance of injury for that occupant.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the seatbelt bezel.

Certain vehicles may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 135 - Light Vehicle Brake Systems. A problem with the rear brake system may cause gas bubbles to form in the brake fluid. This could cause a soft brake pedal feel and a reduction in brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
If the vehicle battery becomes significantly discharged and the voltage in the electrical system drops (because, for example, the ignition is left in the "ON" position for a significant length of time without the engine running), the Airbag Control unit (ACU) is designed to suppress the passenger airbag and illuminate the passenger airbag status light. When the battery recharges and correct voltage is restored, the ACU is designed to reactivate the passenger airbag system. On certain vehicles, incorrect software programming may not allow the ACU to reactivate the airbag as intended. This can result in the passenger airbag being suppressed without lighting the warning indicator and the airbag status light. Failure of the airbag to inflate during a crash could increase the passenger seat occupant's risk of injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will reprogram the ACU.
