During engine start, the engine management software may cause loss of braking assist. Full mechanical braking (without assist) remains available.

On certain motorcycles, the engine oil pressure relief valve may not have been assembled correctly. As a result, there may not be enough engine oil pressure. This can cause the oil pressure warning light to turn on. If you continue to ride the motorcycle with low oil pressure, the engine could fail.

On certain vehicles, the engine wiring harness may not be properly attached. As a result, the wiring could contact the air conditioning (A/C) compressor pulley. This can damage the wiring, and could result in a short circuit.

Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install a tie strap to secure the wiring harness. The dealer will also inspect the wire harness and A/C compressor belt for damage. They will be repaired, as necessary.
Kia Canada is conducting a Product Improvement Campaign that provides an update to the engine control module to detect potential problems before an engine fails. An engine failure could cause a sudden loss of power with an inability to restart.

If this happens, the engine bearings could be damaged. This can lead to a connecting rod failure, which could puncture the engine block and create an oil leak.
