On some vehicles, water ingress around the in-floor battery cover and door footwell trim could cause electrical circuit corrosion, potentially causing the engine to stall resulting in a loss of motive power and could also disable the airbags, turn signals, parking, stop and/or reverse lamps. These issues could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will apply sealer, relocate electrical components and apply dielectric grease as necessary.

On certain Volvo 764, 782 and 944 equipped with an 80 litre fuel tank, if the three conditions of high ambient temperatures, overfilling of tank and insufficient torque on the sending unit lock ring existed simultaneously, seepage of fuel could occur from the top of the tank. In the presence of an ignition source, a fire could result.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect for signs of seepage. If no seepage is found, the sending unit lock ring will be retorqued. If seepage is found, the lock ring gasket will be replaced. All vehicles will also be fitted with an additional clamp around the lock ring.

On certain 4x4 trucks, the rear driveshaft may not have been properly welded. As a result, a weld could break and cause the driveshaft to detach from the truck. If the vehicle was in rear wheel drive mode, this would cause a loss of propulsion.
Safety Risk
A driveshaft that detaches could result in a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, a driveshaft that separates from the truck could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people.
Remedy
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the rear driveshaft with one that is properly welded.

On certain motorcycles, the front brake hose could become wedged between the front fork and the fender. This allows the front fork cover to contact the brake hose causing abrasion damage as the fork moves through its travel. Continued use of the motorcycle with the brake hose trapped in this position could result in brake hose failure, creating the possibility of a crash resulting in injury or death.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the front brake hose and replace it if necessary.

Fluid may enter the driver's door master power window switch module, causing corrosion that could result in a short in the circuit board. A short may cause the power door lock and power window switches to function intermittently or become inoperative. The short may also cause overheating, which could melt components of the door module, producing odor, smoke, or a fire.
Safety Risk
A short in the circuit board could lead to a fire, increasing the risk of personal injury. A fire could occur even while the vehicle is not in use. As a precaution, owners are advised to park outside until the remedy has been made.
Remedy
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the part number on the door module, and install a new door module if necessary, free of charge. Parts for the remedy are not currently available. An interim letter was mailed to owners in August 2014. A second owner letter will be mailed when parts are available. On certain vehicles, the fuel return line hose fitting on the electric fuel pump may be restricted, causing excessive fuel pressure to build up in the fuel injection system. Excessive fuel pressure may result in the fuel return hose becoming dislodged, resulting in fuel leakage. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealer will inspect the fuel pump pressure. Those vehicles exhibiting higher than normal fuel pump pressure will receive fuel pump modifications.
On certain motorcycles, the fuel pump O-ring seal may not have been installed correctly during vehicle assembly. This could cause a fuel leak which, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk

On some vehicles, if the rear wheel alignment toe adjustment locking nuts are improperly tightened when an alignment is performed in the field, backlash may develop in the threaded portion of the suspension arm (shaft and turnbuckle), followed by the formation of rust. If this occurs, threads may wear, causing the arm to separate which could result in loss of vehicle control.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the suspension arm threads for corrosion. If corrosion is found, the arm(s) will be replaced. If no corrosion is found, an epoxy sealer will be applied to the suspension arm to inhibit corrosion.
