On certain motorcycles, the main wiring harness can contact a bolt and a rivet located in the tail section of the vehicle. The resultant chafe damage could, over time, create an electrical short circuit, which may cause the engine to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace, and reposition the main wiring harness.
