On certain IBEX 800 Touring motorcycles, the mounting bolt for the right footrest may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the bolt could loosen and interfere with the rear brake pedal. If this happens, you may not be able to apply the rear brake, causing reduced braking.
Safety Risk
Reduced braking can cause increased stopping distances and create the risk of a crash.
Remedy
CFMOTO will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to remove the right footrest bolt, apply thread-locking compound and retighten it. To reduce the safety risk, CFMOTO recommends not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed.
On certain vehicles, the brake lamp switch could fail. This would cause the brake lamps not to turn on when the brakes are applied. Depending on the model, this could cause an inability to shift from park or to start using the push-button ignition. This may also cause problems with the following: anti-lock brake system (ABS), vehicle dynamics control (VDC), and/or Eyesight system.
Safety Risk
If the brake lights do not work, a following driver may not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking, increasing the risk of crash.
Remedy
The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the brake lamp switch replaced.

Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the electronic brake booster motor to shut down. If this happens, there could be a sudden increase in brake pedal force. This could also cause certain driver assistance systems not to work properly.
Note: This problem would cause the antilock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC) and brake warning lights to turn on, warning messages to display in the instrument cluster and a warning chime to sound.
Safety Risks:
A sudden increase in brake pedal force can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, driver assistance systems that don't work properly could increase the risk of a crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the electronic brake booster module software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership.

On certain motorcycles, water may enter the front brake switch and cause it to fail. If this happens, the brake light will not turn on when only the front brake is applied. Additionally, applying the front brake may not cancel the cruise control setting.
Note: The brake light will turn on and the cruise control can be cancelled when the rear brake is applied.
Safety Risk
A brake light that does not work properly could result in road users being confused with the rider's intentions, and increase the risk of a crash. Cruise control that does not work properly could also increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Zero Motorcycles will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the front brake switch.

On certain motorcycles, small stones or other road debris can become trapped between the brake pedal and the rear brake master cylinder actuating rod. This can prevent full release of the rear brake. Continuous activation of the rear brake while the vehicle is being operated can result in overheating, damage, rear wheel lockup, or failure of the rear brake, creating the risk of a crash resulting in injury or death.
Safety Risk

On certain vehicles, the gap between the brake line and the cardan joint of the steering shaft is too small. The brake line may come into contact with the joint and eventually suffer damage and corrosion. Ultimately, a loss of brake fluid accompanied by a reduction in front brake performance may occur.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealer will evaluate the distance between the brake line and the cardan joint of the steering shaft. If this distance is not sufficient, it will be increased.
On certain cutaway chassis vehicles equipped with 6.8L engines and optional trailer brake controllers, during tow operation, the integrated trailer brake controller may not actuate the trailer brakes when the driver depresses the brake pedal. There would be no warning to the driver that vehicle braking does not actuate the trailer brakes, which could increase stopping distances, potentially resulting in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
