On certain trucks, the bed-cover could come loose while driving and detach from the truck. This problem affects soft and hard tri-fold tonneau covers that were sold as an accessory by General Motors dealers.
Note: This recall is related to Transport Canada recalls 2019-494 and 2020-165. If your truck was previously repaired under either of those recalls, it does not require further repair under the new recall.

A tonneau cover that separates from a moving vehicle could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people.
