On certain motorcycles, the front brake lines (due to its current routing) may be under strain. The vibrations that occur when the motorcycle is being ridden could cause the brake lines to develop leaks, allowing brake fluid to escape and cause the level of fluid in the reservoir of the front brake system to drop. Brake fluid leakage could result in loss of front braking capability, which could lead to a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death.
On certain trucks, the driveshaft may not have been welded correctly during the manufacturing process. This could allow the driveshaft to fracture along the length of the tube seam weld when torque is applied. The fractured tube can twist or sever, which could result in additional damage to the driveline, the vehicle to which it is attached, and any additional nearby components. Should the brake air lines become damaged, it could allow spring brake application, causing immediate brake lock-up. If this occurs while the vehicle is in motion, it could result in a crash. Also, failure of the driveshaft would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. Either condition could result in property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the driveshaft assembly.

On certain vehicles equipped with 1.8T engines and torque-converter (non-DSG) automatic transmissions, out of specification transmission cooler sealing O-rings may allow transmission fluid to leak in proximity to hot surfaces. This could increase the risk of a fire, potentially causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace affected O-rings.

Certain vehicles were built with tires that may have been cured too long. As a result, the sidewall could crack or the tread and belts could separate. This could cause a tire failure and lead to sudden loss of air pressure.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with certain Continental tires, with a date code of 2420 and mold number 416290.
Safety Risk
A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Subaru will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect all four tires. If one tire is affected, all four tires will be replaced

On certain vehicles equipped with 2.0L engines, a piston pin circlip may not have been installed or may have been improperly installed into the piston during assembly. If the circlip is not properly installed, over the course of engine operation, the piston pin will rub against the cylinder wall causing noise and damage, or in the worst case, the piston pin may detach from one side of the piston and cause an engine failure. Engine damage will eventually result in the engine stalling. Engine stalling would result in a loss of motive power; an engine failure would result in a sudden loss of motive power and may result in an under hood fire. These potential outcomes in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect, and repair as necessary.

On a small number of vehicles, the instrument panel may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, the passenger-front airbag may not inflate properly in a crash. Additionally, when the airbag inflates, this problem could also cause the instrument panel to break, and pieces could be propelled toward vehicle occupants.
Safety Risk
An airbag that doesn't inflate properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Pieces that are propelled towards vehicle occupants could create an increased risk of injury.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the instrument panel.

Over time, the nuts that attach the axle shafts to the axle housing could loosen and fall off. If this happens, one or both axle shafts could separate from the axle housing. This could cause noise and vibration and/or a differential oil leak. An axle shaft that separates can cause reduced braking and vehicle stability.
Safety Risk
Reduced vehicle stability could cause a loss of control. Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances. Both of these issues could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Toyota will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect the rear axle assembly and retighten the axle flange nuts. For vehicles where other axle-related components are damaged, they will be replaced, if necessary.
