On certain vehicles, the rear suspension lower control arm(s) could fracture due to incorrect heat treatment during manufacturing. A fractured suspension lower control arm could result in a loss of vehicle control and a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, replace the rear lower control arms.
On certain Amerivan 10 wheelchair accessible vehicles built on Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country platforms, the upper rear mounts for the shock aborbers may separate from the chassis. This could affect vehicle handling, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install a revised mounting bracket of a different design.
Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with an incorrect rear stabilizer bar. As a result, the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) may not function as intended which could affect vehicle stability, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the rear stabilizer bar with the correct one.
On certain motorcycles, the rear shock absorber may not have been manufactured correctly. The piston rod nut may have been tightened before the piston had the correct full metal-to-metal contact. This could result in the nut loosening, which would prevent proper rear suspension action, and could cause poor handling that may result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will send the rear shock assembly to the supplier’s repair facility or replace the rear shock absorber with a new part supplied by Ducati.

On certain vehicles, the rear axle hub bearing assembly bolt may not have been tightened properly. This could cause the bolts to become loose and detach from the hub assembly, which could damage the rear brake components. This could increase stopping distances and could also potentially cause wheel lock up, resulting in vehicle instability increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect bolts and tighten to specification. If bolts are missing, the rear axle hub bearing assembly and rear brake components will be replaced.
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles manufactured September 26, 2014, to October 2, 2014. In the affected vehicles the toe link outer ball joint on the rear suspension may not have been properly tightened during the assembly process. The Toe link may loosen with the vehicle use and eventually separate.
Safety Risk
A toe link separation can result in a reduction in vehicle stability and steering control, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
Remedy
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace any damaged parts, free of charge. The recall began February 23, 2015. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet). GM's number for this recall is 14857.
Life Line Emergency Vehicles (Life Line) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Life Line-modified Ford F-Series emergency vehicles that are equipped with Liquid Spring-brand aftermarket suspension kits. The mounting bracket that attaches the suspension fluid tank to the frame may fail allowing the fluid tank to separate from the vehicle.
Safety Risk
If the suspension fluid tank mount fractures and the tank separates from the chassis, the tank may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
The remedy for this recall is still under development. The recall began on February 2, 2015. Owners may contact Life Line customer service at 1-563-578-3317.
On certain motorcycles, inner front fork components may not have been tightened properly. This could allow the inner front fork to become loose and cause the suspension to stick. Should the suspension become stuck, this could affect the vehicle handling and lead to a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, tighten the loose components.
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain model year 2015 Cayenne Diesel and Cayenne S vehicles manufactured November 26, 2014, to November 27, 2014. Due to a manufacturing error, the suspension alignment on the front and rear axles may not have been performed correctly and the screw connections of the camber, toe and caster may not have been tightened with the specified torque.
Safety Risk
If the suspension alignment was incorrectly performed, vehicle handling could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will perform a front and rear suspension alignment, and check the screw connections for the proper torque, retightening as necessary, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification date. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AF04.
On certain vehicles, front control arms may not meet specifications and could break, affecting vehicle control. This could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property.
On certain vehicles, the left side front lower suspension arm may contain a defect that could result in the lower ball joint separating from the arm in the event of a severe impact, such as a pothole or other road imperfection. This could cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
On certain vehicles, if the rear axle trailing arms are damaged in a rear or side-rear impact crash and a repair facility does not correctly diagnose or replace damaged rear axle components, rear trailing arm durability could be reduced, which could result in a sudden fracture of the trailing arm. This could lead to a loss of vehicle control, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install a sheet metal inlay on both rear axle trailing arms. The inlay is designed to help prevent the sudden loss of vehicle control should a rear axle trailing arm fracture occur if undiagnosed/unrepaired damage exists from a previous rear or side-rear impact/crash.
On certain vehicles, the leaf springs in the rear suspension could fracture due to stress and corrosion. If this were to occur, the broken leaf could move out of position and contact surrounding components, including the fuel tank. If the broken leaf were to contact the fuel tank repeatedly, it could puncture the fuel tank. This could result in a fuel leak which, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the rear leaf spring assemblies with improved ones.
On certain vehicles, the rear suspension toe link jam nuts may not have been tightened to specification. If the vehicle is operated in this condition, the toe link nuts could loosen and eventually separate, allowing the rear wheel to turn inboard or outboard. If this were to happen, sudden changes in vehicle handling could occur, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and ensure the rear suspension toe link nuts are tightened to specification. If required, the rear suspension toe link will be replaced.
On certain vehicles, the front suspension coil springs may be susceptible to corrosion. Over time, corrosion could cause the springs to fail, potentially damaging front tires and causing rapid air loss and/or tire failure, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace coil springs as necessary. Additionally, a spring guide will be installed to prevent the coil spring from contacting the tire.
On certain vehicles, rear longitudinal and transverse control arms may not meet specifications and could break, affecting vehicle control. This could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property.
On certain vehicles, the stabilizer link fasteners may have been improperly torqued during the assembly process. As a result, the fasteners may loosen over time. This could result in the stabilizer link detaching and interfering with the vehicle's steering, which would unexpectedly increase steering effort, and could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
