Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealer will install a protective covering on the crash element and inspect the wiring harness for damage.

On certain vehicles equipped with Mercedes-Benz accessory allseason floor mats, the mats may interfere with the accelerator pedal when the pedal is fully depressed, causing the accelerator pedal to become temporarily stuck in the open position or to retract more slowly than normal. An accelerator pedal that does not retract normally could result in the vehicle not decelerating as expected when the driver lifts their foot from the accelerator pedal. This could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the all-season floor mats with an updated design.
On certain vehicles, long-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger-front airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function.
Safety Risk
If the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury.
Remedy
Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have the passenger-front airbag inflator or airbag module replaced. Note: The Canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. It is expected that all airbag inflators will be replaced before their function would be affected. Additional Note: Vehicles may have had the original front passenger airbag inflator replaced as a "like-for-like" replacement under recall 2016-103 (Toyota Recall #'s SRC 241 & SRC 242) as a temporary remedy while evaluating a permanent remedy. These vehicles will receive the permanent remedy passenger airbag assembly under this recall.
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, A WELD BETWEEN THE FUEL TANK INLET CHECK VALVE AND THE FUEL TANK CAN FAIL.
Safety Risk
IF THESE PARTS SEPARATE, THE DRIVER MAY NOTICE AN ODOR OF FUEL, THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT MAY ILLUMINATE, AND/OR FUEL MAY LEAK ONTO THE GROUND. FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THE FUEL TANK TO SEE IF IT IS ON THE LIST OF AFFECTED TANKS. IF THE SERIAL NUMBER MATCHES, THE FUEL TANK WILL BE REPLACED. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN NOVEMBER 4, 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT BUICK AT 1-866-608-8080 OR PONTIAC AT 1-800-620-7668.
On certain vehicles, the connector for the blower motor may have been damaged. As a result, the connector could fail and could cause the windshield defrost system not to work properly. This could cause the vehicles not to meet the requirements of Canadian regulations.
Note: This recall affects both the Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models.
Safety Risk
A windshield defroster that doesn't work may cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the blower motor assembly.

On certain vehicles with a two-speed power transfer unit (PTU), the input splines on the front differential may wear and fail. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. In addition, the PARK position may not hold the vehicle in place. This could allow the vehicle to move unexpectedly when parked.
Safety Risk
A vehicle that loses power to the wheels or moves unexpectedly could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
FCA will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the software for the power transfer unit. This update will maintain vehicle propulsion by engaging rear wheels if the input splines fail. It will also prevent the vehicle from moving unexpectedly when transmission is in PARK by activating the parking brake.

On certain motorcycles, a resin bracket inside the fuel pump may swell and interfere with the impeller which may cause the fuel pump to stop working properly. While parked, this can prevent the engine from starting. While riding, particles may become stuck between the bracket and the impeller causing the engine to stall and possibly not restart. Engine stalling, in conjunction with traffic, road conditions, and driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the original fuel pump with an updated pump.
On certain vehicles, the odometer may not display properly after reaching 21,472 km. This error could lead you not to know how far the vehicle has travelled. As a result, an owner could miss or delay important vehicle maintenance.
Note: Only the Wrangler 4xe model is affected by this recall.
Safety Risk
Missed or delayed vehicle maintenance could lead to a part failure and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, update the instrument panel cluster software. If your vehicle has over 21,472 km, and the odometer does not display, the instrument panel cluster will be replaced.
