VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH MANUALLY-ADJUSTABLE (NON-POWERED) SEATS. CERTAIN INNER FRONT SLIDE RAIL LATCH MECHANISMS MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY WELDED.
Safety Risk
IF AN INNER SLIDE RAIL LATCH MECHANISM BREAKS DUE TO IMPROPER WELDING, FORWARD AND REARWARD SEAT ADJUSTMENT WILL NO LONGER BE POSSIBLE. IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE SLIDE RAILS COULD BREAK, EXPOSING THE OCCUPANT TO A RISK OF INJURY.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE ONE OR BOTH FRONT SEAT INNER SLIDE RAILS. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MARCH 30, 2001. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT SUBARU AT 1-800-782-2783.

Safety Risk
AN IMPROPERLY INSTALLED SPRING CAN CAUSE THE EMERGENCYBRAKE TO RELEASE. IF THE VEHICLE IS NOT PROPERLY SECURED, IT COULD SET ITSELFIN MOTION AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL INSTALL A LONGER TENSION SPRING TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT TENSION.
On certain vehicles, an incorrect passenger-front airbag may have been installed during the repair for Transport Canada recall 2017-023. As a result, the airbag may not unfold properly when it deploys in a crash. This could cause the airbag to tear or not to inflate properly.

On certain vehicles, the automatic transmission's intermediate shaft may suffer excessive wear due to a misalignment with the right side output gear. Continued use in this condition could cause a whirring/whining noise to develop, and eventual transmission damage, which could result in a loss of vehicle propulsion. Lost propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the intermediate shaft and right side output gear.

CONTAMINATION OF THE VACUUM BRAKE HOSE CHECK VALVE BY DETERGENT USED IN MANUFACTURE, COULD CAUSE THE VALVE TO STICK AT LOW AMBIENT TEMPERATURES THEREBY PREVENTING ITS OPERATION. RESIDUAL VACUUM IN THE POWER BRAKE SYSTEM WOULD PROVIDE POWER ASSIST TO THE BRAKES ON INITIAL APPLICATION, BUT THE STICKING VALVE WOULD PREVENT VACUUM BUILD-UP TO PROVIDE CONTINUED POWER ASSIST. THIS COULD RESULT IN INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCES AND A POSSIBLE VEHICLE CRASH.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
VACUUM BRAKE HOSE AND CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY WILL BE REPLACED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES.
On certain trucks, the wiring for the Mobileye camera may have been routed incorrectly. As a result, the wiring could become damaged by contact with dash components and could overheat and melt. If this happens, the turn signals and hazard lights may not work properly, and the Mobileye collision avoidance information would not be displayed.
Safety Risk
Wiring that overheats and melts can create the risk of a fire. Turn signals that don't work may cause a person not to recognize when a driver intends to turn or change lanes. Hazard lamps that don't work could make the vehicle less visible. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a collision avoidance system that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect the Mobileye camera cable. It will be re-routed or replaced, as necessary.

LAND ROVER IS RECALLING 12,353 MY 2008 LR2 VEHICLES BUILT WITH A SUNROOF. FAILURE OF EITHER THE LEFT OR RIGHT HAND SIDE SUNROOF GUIDE RAIL CAN OCCUR WHEN THE SUNROOF IS OPERATED. EXCESSIVE STRESS CAN DEVELOP IN THE OVER-MOLDED BRACKET WHICH COULD LEAD TO CRACKING DURING NORMAL SUNROOF OPERATION. IF CRACKS OCCUR AND PROPAGATE IN A CERTAIN AREA OF THE GUIDE RAIL, FRAGMENTS OF THE PLASTIC OVER-MOLD MATERIAL MAY DETACH FROM THE GUIDE RAIL AND OBSTRUCT THE OPERATION OF THE SUNROOF.
Safety Risk
THE OBSTRUCTION COULD CAUSE THE SUNROOF, WHEN OPERATED, TO BIND, TWIST, AND POTENTIALLY DETACH FROM THE OPERATING MECHANISM. IF THE SUNROOF IS SUBSEQUENTLY CYCLED AND A VERTICAL FORCE APPLIED, I.E., A CUSTOMER MANUALLY AIDING THE ROOF TO CLOSE OR WIND LIFT, THE GLASS PANEL CAN BECOME FULLY DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL INSTALL RETENTION INSERTS TO BOTH SIDES OF THE GLASS PANEL GUIDE RAILS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 29, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT LAND ROVER AT 1-800-637-6837.
Certain vehicles may have an Antilock Braking System (ABS) motor containing an out of specification spring clip which could in time become misaligned. This could cause retainer bearing friction, higher motor current draw and eventually render the ABS non-functional. This would cause the warning lights to illuminate and the Dynamic Rear Proportional (DRP) system to become inoperative. The base brakes would still remain functional and if the operator were to ignore the red brake warning light, the higher rear brake input could cause rear wheel lock up with the possibility of a crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the back pressure module valve assembly.

On certain vehicles, the lower pinion bearings retainer tabs were not crimped properly. These retainers may fail and permit the ball bearings to escape. If the problem were to occur, the driver would have to exert more effort to turn the steering wheel.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers are to inspect the condition of the lower bearing, and replace the lower pinion bearing or the rack and pinion steering gear assembly, if necessary. This is an extension of recall 02-199
