On certain vehicles, the transmission control valve body could wear and lose pressure. If this happens, the transmission could shift harshly and cause the wheels to lock up.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Safety Risk
Wheels that lock suddenly could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the transmission control module software to detect excess wear in advance of a wheel lock up. If detected, a service engine light would turn on, a message would display in the instrument panel and the vehicle would be limited to fifth gear.

Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a Ford dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the clutch pressure line. The dealer will also secure the line to the firewall, as necessary.

On certain vehicles an intermittent condition that leads to the supplemental restraint system (srs) air bag warning light illumination could result from motion of the side impact air bag wiring harness and side impact air bag wiring harness connector which mount to the adjustable seat cushion assembly. This condition only relates to the driver and passenger seat mounted side impact air bags and could prevent seat mounted side impact air bag deployment during a crash where such deployment should occur. Non-deployment of the srs side impact air bag could increase the risk of injury during a crash where side impact air bag deployment is intended.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will service the front seat side impact airbag wiring harness.

On certain vehicles, the centrally-located tailpipe extension protrudes slightly beyond the rear bumper. As a consequence, it is possible for inadvertent contact with a person's leg. It the tailpipe is hot during contact, a burn could occur.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the tailpipe extension with a new, shortened version.
On certain vehicles, a defect in the ignition lock actuator may make turning the ignition key difficult or cause the key to get stuck in the “start” position. This may be more likely to occur at higher interior ambient temperatures. If the vehicle is driven with the key stuck in the “start” position, and the vehicle experiences a significant jarring event or the vehicle’s interior temperature cools, the ignition key could move out of the “start” position, rotate past the “run” position, and move into the “accessory” position, causing the engine to shut off. This would result in a loss of motive power and affect power steering and power brake system function, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. The timing of the key movement out of the “run” position, relative to the activation of the sensing algorithm in a crash event, may also result in the airbags not deploying in a subsequent collision, increasing the risk of injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the ignition lock housing.
