On certain vehicles, the transmission shift cable may allow the transmission indicator (PRNDL) to indicate a different gear selected than the transmission is in. If this condition occurred while a vehicle is resting on an uneven surface, the vehicle could roll away after the driver has exited.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealer will inspect and replace the transmission shift cable assembly.

On certain vehicles, a programming feature which limits vehicle speed in the event of a deployable rear spoiler fault may not function as intended. This could allow the vehicle to be operated at higher speeds without the spoiler being in the deployed position, which could affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will update vehicle software.

Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
FORK PIPES WILL BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF NECESSARY.
On certain trucks, the exterior stainless-steel trim panel(s) (cant rail) may not be attached properly. As a result, the panel(s) could loosen and detach from the truck.
Safety Risk
A panel that detaches from the truck could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Tesla will notify owners by email and advise you to contact Tesla Service to arrange for the replacement of the cant rail assembly.

ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM, AN ELECTRICAL PLUG ON THE AIR BAG MODULE MAY HAVE AN INSUFFICIENT PUSH/PULL FORCE. IF THIS IS THE CASE, THE AIR BAG MAY NOT DEPLOY IN A MAJOR ACCIDENT.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
AIR BAG UNIT WILL BE EXCHANGED FOR ONE WITH AN INTEGRAL CONNECTOR.
On certain motorcycles, the fuel tank mounting fasteners can work loose, allowing the bolts to slip toward the inboard side and contact the fork leg if the handlebar is turned a significant amount. This could limit handlebar travel range, affecting handling and maneuverability of the motorcycle, which could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and tighten the fuel tank mounting bolts as per specifications.
On certain motorcycles, a fuel hose may become disconnected from the fuel pump assembly. Any loss of fuel pressure would cause engine stalling which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace and reposition the fuel hose retaining clamp.

On certain vehicles, the power steering reservoir return hose may have been incorrectly routed (pinched or kinked) during vehicle assembly. This could increase pressure in the power steering system, which could cause the return hose to burst. Loss of power steering fluid could cause a loss of steering power assist, which may result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the reservoir return hose and, if necessary, replace and reposition the hose. If the reservoir return hose is routed incorrectly, the steering gear return hose and the power steering fluid reservoir will also be replaced.

On certain vehicles, over time, moisture could enter the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) controller and could cause a fault in the airbag system. This could result in the airbag controller becoming inoperative, which would prevent the airbag(s) from deploying. Failure of an airbag to deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the SRS control module.

On certain vehicles operated in areas of heavy road salt usage (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador), road salt can collect in the rear portion of the side members of the subframe and may result in internal corrosion leading to thinning or perforation of the subframe steel. The corrosion may ultimately lead to separation of the lower control arm at the forward mounting point to the subframe. When separation occurs, in most cases, the movement of the arm will cause the axle to pull out of the transaxle and the vehicle will no longer have drive power to the wheels. In extreme cases, the wheel can also rotate off its designed axis and make contact with the fender or the wheel well. Both outcomes could result in a loss of vehicle control and a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the front subframe assembly. Should the subframe not require replacement, drainage holes will be added, as well as treatment with rust-proofing material to arrest the corrosion process.

On certain vehicles equipped with chrome plated aluminum wheels, the wheels may have a mounting surface that was not machined correctly. This would cause the wheel studs to break and the tire and wheel assembly to separate from the vehicle. If this were to occur while the vehicle was in motion, a vehicle crash could result without prior warning.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect wheels and replace all wheels with date codes indicating that they may not have been machined correctly. The wheel mounting studs at any location where a suspect wheel was installed will also be replaced.
