THE CLEAR COAT ON THE ALUMINUM WHEELS MAY BE THICKER THAN DESIRED. WHEEL NUTS ON A WHEEL WITH EXCESSIVE CLEAR COATING MAY LOOSEN OVER TIME BECAUSE THE CLEAR COAT LAYER COMPRESSES UNDER LOAD. IF THE VEHICLE IS OPERATED WITH WHEEL NUTS THAT HAVE LOOSENED, THEN ONE OR MORE HUB BOLTS MAY BREAK, AND THE WHEEL MAY COME OFF THE VEHICLE.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
THE CLEAR COATING WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE BRAKE ROTOR MATING SURFACE ON THE BACK OF EACH WHEEL, AND FROM THE WHEEL NUT MATING SURFACES. WHEELS, HUB BOLTS AND NUTS WILL BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF NECESSARY.

On certain vehicles, paint may have been applied unevenly on the rear axles. In cases where the paint was too thick, the allotted drying time may have resulted in insufficient paint hardness. Should this occur on the surface that contacts the rear axle lower link bracket bolt head and/or nut, the nut may later loosen. If the nut should detach fully separation of the lower link from the rear axle could occur. This may result in loss of vehicle control and a possible crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will remove the rear axle lower trailing link nuts and bolts and replace them with new self-lock nuts and bolts.

On certain vehicles, the left rear wheel bearing hub locking bolts may not have been properly torqued during assembly. This could cause the bolts to loosen and break, which could allow the wheel assembly to move outwards from the axle housing. If this occurs, the vehicle could become more difficult to control and braking distances would increase which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and tighten the rear left wheel bearing hub locking bolts as necessary.
THE FRONT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE LOOP ATTACHED TO THE UPPER REAR CORNER OF THE DOOR, MAY INTERFERE WITH GARNISH MOULDING ON SOME VEHICLES. IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE CRASH THE SHOULDER BELT WEBBING COULD BE CUT BY THE GUIDE INCREASING THE RISK OF OCCUPANT INJURY.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
A NEWLY DESIGNED GUIDE LOOP NUT AND SPACER WILL BE INSTALLED ON ALL INVOLVED VEHICLES.
