On certain vehicles, the right rear parking brake cable may disconnect from the parking brake actuating lever when the parking brake pedal is released and the parking brake shoes are frozen to the drum. The cable may lift off the lever as it moves when the parking brake is released, if the brakes are sufficiently frozen so that the lever does not move. Should the right rear parking brake cable becomes disconnected, the parking brake pedal will exhibit extended travel and may not be able to fully apply the parking brake in subsequent use. If the vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, and is parked in neutral without a fully applied parking brake, the vehicle may move unintentionally and cause property damage or personal injury to bystanders.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install a revised right side actuator with the lever pivot located at the top of the actuator.

Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy

Certain vehicles fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 206 – Door Lock and Door Retention Components. A manufacturing error could cause the left front and/or left rear door latches to fail to fully latch and fail to meet the requirements of the standard. As a result, occupants may be at greater risk of injury in a crash, and unbelted occupants could fall from the vehicle and sustain injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect latches and replace as necessary.
On certain vehicles, engine oil may migrate from the vacuum pump into the brake booster. Prolonged brake booster diaphragm exposure to engine oil could cause the diaphragm to fail, leading to a loss of brake booster assist. This may result in increased brake pedal effort, which could increase stopping distances, potentially resulting in a crash causing injury and/or damage property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the brake booster grommet for the presence of oil. If no oil is found, the vacuum tube assembly will be replaced. If oil is found, the vacuum pump, vacuum tube assembly, brake booster and master cylinder will be replaced.

On certain vehicles, the front suspension coil springs may have been manufactured with an inadequate phosphorous coating, and/or could have low residual stress in the springs. This inadequate coating could lead to cracking due to coil-to-coil contact when the spring is compressed, which would allow the spring to be more susceptible to corrosion. In some instances coil spring breakage could occur. If ignored, broken front coil spring could damage the front tires and cause rapid air loss and/or tire failure, which could affect the driver's ability to bring the vehicle to a controlled stop, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace both front coil springs.
