On certain vehicles, the compliance label does not contain the correct Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). The label incorrectly indicates a GVWR of 5,225 instead of 2,370, and a GAWR of 2,612 (front) & 2,756 (rear) instead of 1,185 (front) & 1,250 (rear). As such, the vehicle could be unwittingly overloaded, which would result in poor vehicles handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the turn signal telltale to flash at the same speed as when a rear turn signal bulb fails. As a result, you may not notice when a rear turn signal bulb is not working. Canadian regulations require a change in the turn signal flash rate when a bulb fails.

On certain vehicles, if the hazard lights are switched on while the ignition is off, the lights on some interior switches may not work. When the ignition and lights are turned on, the lights on the switches may stay off. Canadian regulations require certain switches to light up when the ignition is on and the lights are switched on.
Note: If the hazard lights are switched off, then the ignition is cycled to off - and back on again - the switch lights should work properly.
