On certain trucks, the axle yokes may not have been properly welded to the front axle tubes. As a result, the axle may not be properly aligned. During hard braking, this could cause the steering wheel to be off-center, cause a change in steering sensitivity or the steering may pull to the right or left. These changes could lead to sudden change of direction while braking.
Safety Risk
A change in steering while braking could create the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the front axle yoke welds. The dealer will replace any axle assembly that is not properly welded.

IN SOME OF THESE SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, THE DIAMETER OF THE STEERING COLUMN INTERMEDIATE SHAFT IS TOO SMALL.
Safety Risk
THIS CONDITION COULD ALLOW THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT TO SPIN INSIDE THE STEERING COLUMN COUPLING, RESULTING IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. IF THIS WERE TO HAPPEN WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING, A CRASH COULD RESULTING WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT, AND REPLACE IF NECESSARY, THE STEERING COLUMN INTERMEDIATE SHAFT. OWNERS WERE NOTIFIED BY TELEPHONE ON FEBRUARY 7, 2003, WITH A FOLLOW-UP LETTER ON FEBRUARY 11, 2003. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2018-2020 AMG GLC 63 4MATIC vehicles. The power supply cable on the starter might not have been installed correctly, possibly allowing the cable to chafe against the starter housing and short-circuit.
Safety Risk
If the power supply cable short-circuits, it can result in a stall, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, a short-circuit can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the starter harness and power supply cable installation, and correct it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 18, 2021. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2021010006.

1978 JEEP CHEROKEE AND TRUCK MODELS EQUIPPED WITH SIX CYLINDER ENGINES AND TWO BARRELL CARBURETORS. THE SECONDARY THROTTLE RETURN SPRING WAS OMITTED IN PRODUCTION SUCH THAT THE THROTTLE PLATE MAY NOT CLOSE IN CERTAIN OPERATING CONDITIONS OR IF THE PRIMARY THROTTLE RETURN SPRING SHOULD BREAK.
On certain vehicles, the front suspension lower ball joints may prematurely wear out due to improper finishing of the surface of the spherical portion of the ball joints between the front lower arm and knuckle. Although a loosening ball joint will emit some noise, in the worst case the ball joint may separate without prior warning. A separated ball joint can result in an apparent sudden loss of power, reduced steering control and a possible crash.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
The front suspension lower ball joints will be replaced.
On certain vehicles, there is a risk that some drivers may bump the ignition key with their knee and unintentionally move the key from out of the "run" position. If this were to occur, engine power, power braking and power steering would be affected, which would unexpectedly increase steering and brake pedal effort, potentially increasing stopping distances and the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. The timing of the key movement out of the "run" position, relative to the activation of the sensing algorithm of the crash event, may also result in the airbags not deploying in a subsequent collision, increasing the risk of injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers are to remove the key blade from the original flip key/transmitter assemblies provided with the vehicle, and provide two new keys and two key rings for every original key. Important

On certain motorcycles, a blockage of an oil passage in the engine might restrict oil flow to the cylinder head. This situation could result in the engine loosing power and eventually stopping. Loss of propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the engine for blocked passages, damage to the camshaft and cylinder head, and replace parts as required.
