Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2021 Multistrada V4 S motorcycles. Excessive wear of the valve guides may cause the valve head to break.
Safety Risk
A broken valve head may decrease the acceleration and performance of the engine, increasing the risk of crash.
Remedy
Ducati will notify owners, and the dealer will replace the entire motorcycle engine with another engine, free of charge. The recall began April 23, 2021. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-21-002.
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2021 Porsche Cayman GT4, Cayman GTS 4.0, 718 Spyder, and Boxster GTS 4.0 vehicles. The engine connecting rods may crack and loosen.
Safety Risk
A loose connection while driving may cause engine damage, a stall, or an oil leak, increasing the risk of a crash or fire.
Remedy
Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will replace the connecting rods or, as necessary, the engine, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 21, 2021. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AMA4.
A wiring harness in the rear part of certain motorcycles could be damaged by contact with the lower subframe. If this happens, the wiring harness could short circuit and the engine could stall.

Remedy
KTM will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to inspect the wiring harness for damage, modify the tail end body panel and install additional wiring harness protection. Dealers will also repair or replace the wiring harness, as necessary.
On certain vehicles, the lines for the under-hood fire prevention system may not be properly connected. As a result, the system may not reduce the chance of an engine fire after a crash.

There could be an increased risk of an engine compartment fire after a crash.
Remedy
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the under-hood argon gas line connections in the fire prevention system. They will be repaired, if necessary.
Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2022 VNL vehicles equipped with Cummins X15 diesel engines. The capscrews that attach the flywheel to the crankshaft may have been improperly torqued, allowing the flywheel to detach.
Safety Risk
A detached flywheel can cause loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, driveline pieces may be ejected from the engine compartment, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy
The affected vehicles are still within the manufacturer's control. The Volvo Trucks manufacturing facility will properly torque the capscrews and inspect for possible damage and, if necessary, repair any damage found, free of charge. Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the engine cover for gaps between the rubber seal and the insulation. If gaps are found, the dealer will install engine cover insulation patches, as necessary. The dealer will also update the powertrain software on vehicles equipped with Stationary Elevated Idle Control (SEIC) or Battery Charge Protect (BCP).
On certain vehicles, the right motor mount fasteners may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the engine may vibrate, and the axle may disconnect from the transmission. This can result in loss of power to the wheels.

The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to remove and replace the right motor mount fasteners.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021 E-350 and E-450 vehicles. The underside of the engine cover may have mispositioned insulation, allowing the cover to get excessively hot.
Safety Risk
Direct and continuous contact with certain areas of engine cover surface in the passenger compartment may increase the risk of injury or burns to the skin of the driver or front seat passenger.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the engine cover for gaps between the rubber seal and the insulation. If gaps are present, the dealer will install engine cover insulation patches in the right hand and left hand inner lower corners of the engine cover. The dealer will also update the powertrain calibration for heat management under elevated idle conditions should a vehicle be equipped with SEIC or BCP, free of charge. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles. The right hand motor mount fasteners may have been incorrectly tightened, and may loosen over time.

With a loose motor mount, motor vibration may cause the axle to disconnect from the engine and could result in loss of power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2020 Titan and Titan XD pickup trucks. The engine wiring harness could contain an exposed wire that can cause an electrical short or arcing if it contacts another wire.

An electrical short can impair the performance of the engine, transmission, or fuel pump, increasing the risk of an engine stall and a crash. An electrical short or arcing increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy

On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.0 L NU GDI or 2.4 L Theta II MPI engine, an engine compartment fire could occur while driving. Kia is conducting this recall as a preventative measure to prevent fire risk due to potential fuel leaks, oil leaks and/or engine damage. In some situations, you may notice any of the following symptoms: there could be an abnormal knocking noise from the engine; the check engine light and/or the oil pressure warning light could turn on; you may smell fuel, burning or smoke; or you may notice oil leaks. If you continue to drive the vehicle with these symptoms, the engine could fail and/or a fire could occur. An engine failure can cause a sudden loss of power with an inability to restart.
Note: For the Optima model, only the Optima Hybrid is affected by this recall.

This update will detect and prevent engine damage from worn connecting rod bearings.
