Certain vehicles may be equipped with a 4-pin accessory trailer wiring harness kit that could fail. Over time, this could result in a short circuit that can cause the control module to overheat.
Note: This recall only affects Hyundai Genuine 4-pin tow hitch wiring harness kits with the part number S8F67AC500. These kits may have been ordered at the time of a vehicle purchase, or purchased separately from a dealer as an aftermarket accessory.
Safety Risk
A short circuit could create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off.
Remedy
Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the trailer wiring harness kit. The dealer will repair or replace the trailer wiring harness, as necessary. To reduce the safety risk, Hyundai advises that you should park your vehicle outdoors, and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed.
Note: Hyundai advises you to bring your vehicle to a dealership for this inspection even if it doesn't have a trailer wiring harness, so that the recall campaign can be listed as completed for your vehicle.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2001-2008 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner vehicles manufactured March 31, 2001, to September 1, 2009. The affected vehicles are equipped with either a 2.3L or 3.0L engine and have had their CD4E transmission replaced with remanufactured one that was rebuilt between June 11, 2015 through July 15, 2015. These service repair part transmissions have a shift lever bolt that may not be properly tightened. As a result, the shift control lever could disengage from the transmission without warning.
Safety Risk
If the shift lever disengages from the transmission, a driver may be unable to shift gear positions and the indicated shift position may not represent the gear position the vehicle is in. Should a disengagement occur while the vehicle is being driven, when the driver goes to stop and park the vehicle, the gear selection indicator may show that the transmission is in the "PARK" position, but the vehicle transmission may not actually be in the "PARK" gear position. If the vehicle is not in the "PARK" position there is a risk the vehicle will roll away as the driver and other occupants exit the vehicle or anytime thereafter. A vehicle rollaway increases the risk of injury to exiting occupants and bystanders.

One vehicle may have been built with tires that may have been cured too long. As a result, the sidewall could crack or the tread and belts could separate. This could lead to a sudden loss of air pressure and could cause a tire failure.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with certain Continental CrossContact LX Sport tires, with specific date codes and mold numbers.
Safety Risk
A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
As the vehicle was not sold, Honda has inspected it and determined that the tires were not affected by this problem.
Certain vehicles may have been originally equipped with a brake master cylinder reservoir cap that could leak. If brake fluid leaks from the cap, it could come in contact with the ABS module wiring harness connector. The same vehicles were previously involved in campaign 2007119 to address potentially missing or misplaced seals in the wiring harness connector to the ABS module electronic control unit. If this repair wasn’t done correctly, brake fluid leaking from the reservoir cap could corrode the ABS module electrical connector. This could result in vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder reservoir cap and modify the ABS electrical system.

Certain passenger vehicles. The engine auxiliary/cooling fan operation, including variable speed, is electronically controlled. Failure of the fan motor can cause the electrical circuitry of the fan control unit to overload and fail, causing the fan to stop operating. If this were to occur, engine overheating and subsequent engine damage could result. In addition, it is possible for the failure of the electrical circuitry to cause a fire in the fan control unit located in the front of the engine compartment.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the fan.

This could result in a loss of motive power, which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions may increase the risk of a crash. This would also cause a loss of PARK functionality when in two wheel drive, potentially leading to unintended vehicle movement. These issues could result in injury and/or damage to property
