Safety Risk
A high voltage coolant heater that fails to defrost the windshield can reduce the driver's view, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Lucid has released an over-the-air software update to identify a high voltage coolant heater failure and provide a warning to the driver. High voltage coolant heaters that fail will be replaced. In the affected vehicles, the coil antenna module that powers the rear defogger system may generate excessive heat due to excessive cycling or continuous operation.
Safety Risk
If the coil antenna generates excessive heat, there is an increased risk of a fire.
Remedy
